International Virtual Conference on Language and Literature
The International Virtual Conference on Language and Literature (IVICOLL) is a two-day virtual conference curated by the State Polytechnic of Malang, Indonesia. Our goal is to facilitate discussion on ideas that represent prudent courses of action to address changes that have garnered local and global attention from both theoretical and practical lenses. This year, we would like to assemble more professionals and advocates worldwide to engage in work and dialogue to uncover the latest trends and challenges in language and literature. We aspire to be among the facilitators who help the advancement in these fields further thrive. The 2023 IVICOLL is scheduled to be held virtually on October 27-28, 2023. The conference theme is “Navigating the Future of Language Learning: Challenges and Innovative Strategies for Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics”.

Alice Chik is an Associate Professor in the School of Education, Faculty of Arts, and the Associate Director of Multilingualism Research Centre, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. Her primary area of research examines language learning and multilingual literacies in digital environments. She is especially interested in exploring how language learners construct and direct their autonomous learning in informal contexts. She also has a particular interest in multilingualism is public discourse, representation, and narratives of everyday multilingual experience.

Paul Goldberg has taught English as a foreign language in Venezuela, Spain, Korea, the US, and most recently at Kwansei Gakuin University, in Japan. His main areas of interest are extensive reading and extensive listening. Paul is the founder of Xreading, which he developed because of his desire to make graded readers more accessible for students, and extensive reading programs easier for teachers to manage.

Finita Dewi is an English Lecturer at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Purwakarta Regional Campus. She holds a Doctorate in English Education specializing in Educational Technology and Teacher Professional Development. She has extensive teaching experience and has been working in partnership with national, regional, and international institutions as a teacher trainer.

Mariana is a lecturer in Politeknik Negeri Malang. She holds a Doctoral degree from Education Technology, Universitas Negeri Malang. She has been teaching for 17 years and her primary research interests area ELT, Integrating Technology into Language Teaching, and ESP.

IVICOLL is a virtual conference. Live plenary sessions and parallel sessions will use Zoom Meeting application. The links of the plenary sessions and pre-conference workshop will be emailed to you prior to the day of the conference.
Yes, the main requirement to be a presenter is submitting abstract. Full paper submission is optional which means the presenters are allowed to choose whether they are will willing to submit the full paper or not.
The presentation will be live. You will present your presentation using ZOOM meeting.
For the co-author to get an additional certificate of recognition, you should register for presentation package. Otherwise, you will only get one certificate of recognition and one certificate of participation. The fee for each co-author is $10 for international presenter and IDR 50,000 for Indonesian presenter. The package conference fee should be communicated to the committee prior to paying your presenter fee.
The presentation should be around 10 to 15 minutes, which covers Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings and Discussions, and Conclusions.
The presenter will get one certificate of recognition as a presenter and one certificate of participation as a participant. The participant will get one certificate of participation. To be eligible for certificate of participation, both presenter and participant must attend at least five sessions of the conference.
You will get the e-certificate by attending the plenary sessions and watching at least five presentations in the links which can be accessed on the day of the conference. We send the e-certificate to your email address within one week after the conference dates.
The paper should be around 3000-6000 words and follow the IVICOLL full paper template, which you can download here. The scope of the research should also be in accordance with the conference coverage topics, which are: Language, Language Education, Language and Technology, Literature, Linguistics, and Applied Linguistics.

Authors who passed the review may opt to publish their article on the ISSN proceeding.
